Cable entry systems and splittable cable glands that can accomodate pre-terminated and non-terminated cables. The DES system offers an infinite number of configurations thanks to the use of the cable inserts.
The UL approved DES cable entry system family is the ideal solution for cable management system allowing the passage of terminated cables (also called headed cables or assembled cables or cables with connectors or pre-terminated cables or pre-assembled cables), corrugated cables and standard cables inside electrical cabinet, panels, electrical equipment and machines using the convenient openings of the power connectors such as 24, 16 10 poles connector. This is possible because the frames are divisible and likewise the grommets (also called inserts).
One of the greatest benefit of the system is that the frames have no internal guides or walls or separators. Therefore the grommets, also called inserts, with their own cables can slide and be positioned freely inside the frame. A big help considering that sometimes passing big cables through the walls, it is almost impossible to let them make wide curves inside the cabinet.
Another big advantage of the system is the possibility to stack the frames one over the other into the lateral parts, left or right, of the cabinet. In that way when the cables are entering into the cabinet, they can easily addressed into the required position. The frames include two stainless steel screws (SS304) and two black dacromet stainless steel nuts overmolded into the frame.
The sturdy DES cable entry system solutions is made of chemically bonded glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, specifically designed for applications requiring high rigidity and mechanical strength even at high temperatures. The chemical bond between polypropylene and glass fibre guarantees high impact resistance, improved mechanical properties and greater resistance to detergents and chemicals. The frames and the grommets (grey or black) are self estinguishing according to UL94 V0. The whole frame family is Ecolab certified.
The rear gasket is overmolded on the frame and does not require the uncomfortable installation of an additional one between the frame and the wall.
Another interesting family of DES DetasUltra Cable Entry System is the split cable gland (also called divisible cable glands) which is used in many industrial and telecommunications applications to easily manage the pass through of pre-terninated cables such as sensors, fiber optic connectors, RJ45, Sub D9, etc, etc, into electric cabinet, enclosures, etc.
The DES cable gland system is the ideal solution for cable management allowing the passage of headed cables, corrugated and corrugated cables inside electrical panels, electrical equipment and machines. Thanks to the opening grommets, also called cable gland supports, it is possible to accommodate a large number of cables even with large diameters. This is possible thanks to a DetasUltra patent that allows the grommets (also called cable gland supports) to be positioned and slide freely inside the frame. This will make it possible, for example, to run cables from 2 to 34mm in diameter through the same frame. The frame or cable gland includes two V2A steel screws (SS3049) and two nuts moulded into the piece also in steel but with black dacromet finish.
